[Blog]

brainXploit is a personal blog created with the purpose of organizing notes, references, ideas, and any type of content I can relate to. The name [brainXploit] came to me, simply because in my free time, I like to find hobbies & activities that exploit my brain, make me think or challenges me in some way. I’m the type of person that finds fun to always keep learning new stuff from all sorts of subjects that attract my attention. You’ll see posts completely unrelated between each other, that in essence, will reflect topics that at some point in my life I found interesting. Feel free to browse, read, comment or message me if you find any outdated stuff or misinformation.

[Author]

My name is Roberto León, and I live on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Currently working for Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Partner Solutions Architect for the Caribbean markets. Some of my interests include; technology, real estate, business, investing, finance, Bitcoin, math, BBQ & outdoor cooking, Rubik’s cube… the list goes on, evolving while I keep finding stuff to xploit my brain…

  • Fun facts:
    • Don’t consider myself a speedcuber, but I can solve a Rubik’s Cube in average less than 60 seconds (not anymore, I’ve been out of practice for a long time).
    • I’m a multi-family owner/landlord, so apart from the tech stuff I’ve learned all sorts of handy-man basic stuff (electrical, plumbing, masonry, interior finishing, etc.) in order to maintain my rentals, which I also enjoy in order to get disconnected from technology every once in a while.
    • I’ve been a full-time Linux user for over 15 years, however, I do love the awesome work that Microsoft & Apple has put in some of their products. I am not a “distro hopper”, it takes a lot to convience me to switch environments. My most recent workstation and laptop setups run Arch Linux w/ KDE Plasma.
